It was probably as close to Chipp as anything was south of Richmond Virginia. The owner lived by the same creed...two sales...no more. No "interim markdowns...private sales" etc. When I got out of college in the early 1980's, JosBanks WAS a source of three button traditional goods that for a 22 year old kid, were "good enough" till I could afford Brooks and others.
